J.K. Rowling’s original script for her upcoming Wizarding World spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be published just as the film hits theaters. Today, the script book’s cover was unveiled.
Like they did for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Scholastic and Bloomsbury will publish the Fantastic Beasts script book for fans to read as an alternative or in addition to seeing it. Just like we did with The Cursed Child’s script, we’re looking forward to reading additional details that weren’t explicitly said aloud by the actors.
Even if you hold some disdain for The Cursed Child’s script book, you’re going to have a hard time resisting Fantastic Beasts’ script. Just look at these two whimsical covers! Scholastic (in the U.S.) and Bloomsbury (in the U.K.) are going with two slightly different designs.

The two covers were designed by MinaLima, who are responsible for much of the art you’ve seen in the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films.
Pottermore teases that the script book may have more than just the script inside of it. Writing about the script book and the The Case of Beasts, they tease, “The books will also feature many other talents behind the making of the film, including insights from creative teams behind the costumes, special effects, and even some thoughts from director David Yates himself.”
Pottermore unveiled a slew of other Fantastic Beasts tie-in covers today. While most of them use images from the film that we’ve already seen, two are worth sharing here.
The first cover is for The Art of the Film Fantastic Beasts, which shows gorgeous concept art. Is that a Thunderbird?
Finally, there’s an adorable looking book on the way — the aforementioned Case of of Beasts. As you can see, the book itself looks like Newt’s suitcase, which holds all of the creatures he’s captured.
