After months of denying any sort of plans for a reunion, Fall Out Boy has taken to its website to officially announce plans for the group’s reunion this year!
The short blog post on the band’s site tells fans that “this isn’t a reunion because we were never broken up. We needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.”
Though fans across the world will undoubtedly be a little annoyed that they were lied to as rumors of a comeback were squashed by the band and its management left and right, we think the news of both a new tour set to kick off this month, a date for a new album, and the release of a new single will definitely overshadow any animosity they may have had. The Fall Out Boy reunion is indeed on.
The band’s new album, Save Rock and Roll, currently available for pre-order, is set to drop worldwide May 6 but fans eager to hear new music from Fall Out Boy can check out the band’s brand new single, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up),” now!
