The Cabin by Natasha Preston is a taut thriller filled with twists about teens who go to a remote cabin for a party, only to discover one of them is a murderer.
The Cabin is Natasha Preston’s follow up novel to her New York Times bestselling novel The Cellar. Preston began sharing her writing on Wattpad and in 2014 it was published as a joint effort between Wattpad and Sourcebooks.
The Cellar made its debut on the New York Times Young Adult Paperback bestseller list, where it has remained for the past seven weeks. Pretty remarkable for a YA novel that came out 2 years and four months ago. Also remarkable – prior to its release, The Cellar had already been shared in its entirety on Wattpad. In fact, it’s still available on Natasha’s page.
Preston’s writing is tense and puts normal people in unbelievable situations. The Cabin features seven friends who escape to an isolated cabin to party for the weekend. After a crazy night of partying two of the friends are murdered and the police determine that there was not forced entry. As the story unfolds it is clear that not everyone is who they seem and the killings may not be over.
We have the first three chapters of The Cabin which releases on September 6:
