Let’s find out how involved Pitbull will be in tonight’s Empire season 2, episode 3, “Fires of Heaven.”
Last week on Empire we were treated to a ton of new music! With Lucious still in jail, Cookie thought now was the right time to get a new company going with Andre and Hakeem since she got kicked out of Empire.
Hakeem let it be known that he’s “more than just a rapper” and that he wants to start his own girl group. A spicy Latina named Valentina (Becky G) auditioned and won him over. After speaking with Lucious, Jamal tried to get Hakeem to come back to Empire, but Hakeem refused and ended up leaking his album online.
Once Andre found out about Hakeem’s album drop, he decided the new company — nameless at that time — wasn’t for him. He needs to be at Empire, but Andre reminds Lucious too much of his mother and apparently that isn’t a good thing.
Lucious gets new representation and drops a new joint from behind bars, we still can’t get “Snitch Bitch” out of our heads! Thanks to Lucious’ new lawyer Thirsty, who’s excellent at blackmail, Lucious is out on bail.

Synopsis of ‘Empire’ 2×03 ‘Fires of Heaven’:
“Cookie and Anika secretly work together behind Lucious’ back to pull off a surprise performance that catches the eye of Pitbull (guest-starring as himself). Meanwhile, Lucious tracks down Frank Gathers’ daughter, Young Ma (guest star Bre-Z Murray), to try to convince her to sign with him at Empire, while Hakeem is hard at work on his girl group, Ménage a Trois. Also, Andre and Rhonda hope their baby-on-the-way will be the key that unlocks Lucious’ cold heart and opens the door for Andre to return to the Empire fold.”

Promo for ‘Empire’ 2×03 ‘Fires of Heaven’:
Let’s breakdown this promo a bit:
Lucious is out of jail and Empire is being raided by the FBI. What does that mean? Well that Lucious is an OG, of course.
We then get a sneak of Cookie getting kidnapped by police officers and taken to speak to the lead prosecutor in Lucious’ case.
Andre then tells Lucious, “If I make this mess go away, will you let me back at Empire?” Lucious replies, “If you make this mess go away, you can have anything you want.” (And we see a sneak peek of Andre grabbing shovels!) Does this mean that Lucious subliminally asks Andre to get rid of the prosecutor?
Well, folks, this is all speculation at the moment. We’ll find out more pieces to the puzzle tonight!
Empire airs tonight at 9 p.m. on FOX.
