Elementary season 3, episode 2, “The Five Orange Pipz,” will put Kitty’s patience to the test as the Waston and Holmes duo reunite to solve a double homicide. Check out the stills for this week’s episode here.
Elementary season 3, episode 2, “The Five Orange Pipz,” reimagines another famous canon story from The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes. The pips, referring to orange seeds in the original story, are here turned into orange beads (Pipz) that lead to two dead bodies and a case that brings the detectives back to work. The wild card, Kitty joins in, but much to her dismay Watson and Sherlock fall back into their old rhythm a little too easily.
The stills from this week show Sherlock and Joan back under the same roof working against their familiar “wall of crazy,” while Kitty sits in the background. They seem to suggest that Kitty is meant to observe, but how long can Sherlock expect the fiery Miss Winter to sit idly by?

Synopsis: “When Holmes and Watson join forces on a double homicide, Sherlock’s new apprentice, Kitty, threatens the investigation when she allows her jealousy of Sherlock and Joan’s work rapport to override her better judgment.”
As the promo for this week suggests, two detectives, two bodies, one case. The two are bound to work together on a few cases, especially when Holmes finds himself intrigued. But Kitty’s competitive attitude will get the best of her as she attempts to prove her worth among the old partners.
