Elementary kicks off a two week event tonight with episode 11, “The Illustrious Client.” How will Kitty react when her captor arrives in New York?
As Elementary crosses the halfway mark of the season, it is time to focus on Kitty Winter and how she and Sherlock came to be acquainted in London. The contents of those pages she tucks away in a file folder catch up to her in New York. There is a great deal of mystery regarding the eight months that Sherlock spent abroad and this week’s Elementary season 3, episode 11, “The Illustrious Client,” will begin to fill in the gaps.

At the close of last week a few changes came to Elementary. Watson shut down her private practice and took a job working as an in house investigator for a large insurance firm. Sherlock introduced a new mix up to his investigative work of his own. He informed Watson that the time had come to offer Kitty the role of partner, deeming her detective skills up to the task. But before he could make the proposal, Captain Gregson called Holmes to a body of a young woman who served as the official announcement from Kitty’s captor that he has found her in New York.

Earlier this week, we took a look at the source material for Kitty Winter’s character in Arthur Conan Doyle’s story, “The Illustrious Client.” The episode tonight by the same name will unleash a strikingly similar Kitty Winter who will stop at nothing to bring the man to justice for the damage he inflicted.
