Doctor Who returns in one month, and the BBC has released the title of the episode and a synopsis.
The episode is called “The Bells of St. John” and was written by Steven Moffat. The episode will be the first time we are introduced to the version of Clara that will be traveling with the Doctor even though we’ve seen her twice already.
“The Bells of St. John” will be set in London against the backdrop of new and old landmarks The Shard and Westminster Bridge. “The Bells of St John” will also establish a new nemesis, the Spoonheads, who will battle the Doctor as he discovers something sinister is lurking in the Wi-Fi.
What is the Doctor’s greatest secret? And more importantly what’s at the center of the TARDIS?
The episodes were shot much like the first half of the series, with a movie-of-the-week type vibe. You can expect things like a ghost story to an underwater siege to a period drama. The new series will also introduce new monsters and bring back fan favorites the Ice Warriors and Cybermen.
The show will be broadcast at 6:15 on BBC1 in the United Kingdom, and at 8:00pm est in the United States on BBC America.
