The full compliment of Doctor Who posters is now available. Cybermen, the TARDIS, and Victorian England each are featured.
As series seven winds down and anticipation for the 50th anniversary winds up, the BBC has just released the latest movie style posters for the rest of this season.
In keeping with the tradition that was started this fall, each episode is getting a movie-style poster.
The poster for “Journey to the Center of the TARDIS” is very reminiscent of Penrose Stairs where you can’t tell if the stairs are going up or down and they rattle the brain. The concept was made famous in the drawings of M. C. Escher in his work Relativity.
The poster for “The Crimson Horror” features a return to what looks like Victorian era Clara, specifically in her governess costume. It also features acclaimed U.K. actress Dame Diana Rigg who is currently appearing as the sharp-tongued and cunning Queen of Thrones on Game of Thrones.
Probably the most eagerly anticipated episode is the Neil Gaiman penned episode that has undergone a number of title changes. Originally, it was to be called “The Last Cyberman” but its title is now, the far more menacing, “Nightmare in Silver.” The script to this episode was actually left in a taxi back in the summer, but thanks to the honesty of the Cardiff University students who found it, no details leaked and the script was returned to the BBC.
Last but not least is the final episode which is called “The Name of The Doctor” which is no doubt part of the question that must not ever be asked. You can see that Alex Kingston, River Song, was also given billing on the poster. There were previous rumors that the episode had a title that was far more revealing, and would have spoiled the story arc. Highlight to reveal what the rumored title was and may still be a MAJOR plot spoiler, * The Funeral of River Song *.

What is interesting is that many of the earlier released posters and episodes were likened to big blockbuster themes such as The Hunt for Red October, James Bond, or Jurassic Park. These seem to be unique.
Which poster is your favorite?
