A Thor: Ragnarok set photo hints at a crossover with Marvel’s Doctor Strange. Might we even be seeing the Cumberbatch himself?
The third Thor movie, helmed by the hilarious Taika Waititi, is currently filming in Australia.
Writer Daley Pearson visited the set and snapped some great pictures of Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Waititi, in what appears to be a New York-based set — and, in the process, Pearson may have revealed a major secret linking Ragnarok to the upcoming Doctor Strange:
Here’s a few photos from the set of #Thor in #Brisbane today. Trying to keep it #Loki ? ⚡️ pic.twitter.com/8NATpA9JQ2

The image that has caught eagle-eyed fans’ eyes is this one, with Hemsworth holding up a business card:
It’s hard to work out, but the address appears to read “177A Bleecker Street” — which is the canonical address of the Doctor himself, straight out of the comics.

Doctor Strange hits cinemas this November, while Thor: Ragnarok isn’t out till November 2017, so this obviously isn’t a ploy to introduce the character ahead of his solo film.
If Benedict Cumberbatch does appear in the film, it might be in an effort to set up future appearances for him (in, say, Avengers: Civil War), or it might just be a fun way to tie him into the DNA of the MCU.
Or perhaps the man himself doesn’t even show up at all — it’s always possible that Thor and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) will end up running into another character from the movie instead.
Would you like to see Cumberbatch show up in Thor: Ragnarok?
