A month and a half after the release of the oddly jarring teaser poster for Disney’s The Muppets, a new poster has surfaced that features the more traditional legless muppets.
All of our beautiful 100% polyester fiber and foam friends are back on the silver screen for their first big adventure since Muppets From Space in 1999. Where do you go after you’ve already been to space?
Why, Los Angeles of course.
From a script written by Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller, The Muppets follows the story of Gary (played by Segal) and Mary (Amy Adams) as they try to foil the plans of evil oil tycoon Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) who is planning on tearing down the Muppet theater to harvest the oil that lies underneath.
Being no stranger to having a very famous supporting cast, The Muppets also will feature Rashida Jones, Alan Arkin, Jack Black, Billy Crystal, Zach Galifianakis, Kathy Griffin, Ricky Gervais and Emily Blunt.
Oh, and of course, the Muppets themselves.
So what do you think? Do you prefer this poster to the leggy Sex and the City 2-esque poster?
