Dexter season 8 episode 2 has been released, as we begin to get underway with the final season of Showtime’s hit series.
Dexter season 8 premiered last week with one hell of an episode that set the expectations and pace of the series in what’s anticipated to be a very good final goodbye.
But, we move on to new pastures with the second episode to air tonight on Showtime. “Every Silver Lining” has had its series of promotional material debuted ahead of the episode’s airing.
‘Dexter’ season 8 episode 2 trailer
Dr. Evelyn Vogel really made her mark on the premiere, with her showing photos that Dexter drew as a child. She also knows about Harry’s code, and we’re fascinated to find out the backstory to Vogel, as well as what’s ahead for both Vogel and Dexter.
Dexter season 8 episode 2 looks set to continue unravelling the truths of Vogel, with the trailer commenting that Vogel will be asking questions of Debra despite Dexter blocking that door.

And, we’re also intrigued to find out how the specific scene will work between Vogel and Dexter, with Dexter sat wearing his kill suit. Has Vogel stopped him going after someone? Is she in on Dexter’s secret already?
However, we also hoped the trailer would show more regarding the other cast. We had a small glimpse of “El Sapo,” as well as Jacob Elway in the first episode. We already have some back-story with Elway about the hiring of Debra as an agent on her own terms.
Debra is loosely doing her job to say it lightly, and she is heading down a horrible path. We will see Debra take matter into her own hands in the upcoming episode, and we can’t see it being positive either.
All the promotional material prior to the premiere suggested this, and there’s no doubt they’ve prepared fans for this. We hope Debra pulls through her horrible ordeal.
Dexter season 8 episode 2, “Every Silver Lining” airs over on Showtime tonight at 9pm ET/PT.
