This past weekend Hypable attended the Days of the Wolf convention, a Teen Wolf fan convention that brought cast and fans together for two days of pure awesome, and boy was it fun!
There are a lot of Teen Wolf conventions out there, and we’ve been to our fair share for sure, but none are as intimate as Days of the Wolf in L.A. The convention had cast from the show each stand on stage for a panel where they participated in hour long Q&As with fans, which really brought the fans and cast together.
The list of cast members that attended and had their own panels include Arden Cho, Tyler Posey, Dylan Sprayberry, Orny Adams, Linden Ashby and Ian Bohen. Adams essentially moderated the entire convention, opening both days with hysterical speeches and jokes, oftentimes helping his fellow cast members out as they did their own panels.
What was great about the event is that it was essentially just a two day long Q&A session, giving all fans in attendance the opportunity to ask questions to every one of the cast members. The added benefit is that each panel was an hour long, so there was no rush to get to all the questions, nor was there any real need for anyone to feel alone or weird. Everyone was friendly and welcoming!
Each actor was very open to all questions, unless it meant spoilers for season 5, and in that case they kept hush-hush, and we don’t blame them! Despite the intimate atmosphere, they definitely didn’t want to get in trouble with show creator Jeff Davis in case they let out some info that isn’t ready to see the light of day just yet. The only exception being Orny Adams using the platform to announce he won’t be in season five.
But what was revealed at the convention? A bunch of stuff! During his panel Linden Ashby announced will be directing and choreographing fight scenes. This comes as no surprise considering he’s very well known for his role in the Mortal Kombat film. And speaking of action, we found out that Lydia has her first action scene this season, and Holland Roden is excited about it. We can’t wait to see that girl kick some supernatural butt!
And last but not least, Arden told us that there’s going to be more pack time, more girl time, and more friendship bonding in season 5. She answered questions about how fun her training has been and showed us some fun and weird tricks she could do with her arm, and made the audience crack up the entire time.
Overall, Days of the Wolf was a great success, and it’s just one example of how entertaining, fun, and welcoming fan conventions can be! We highly suggest that if you ever get a chance to attend a fan convention and can afford it, you shouldn’t hesitate in buying a ticket.
