We’ve heard a lot about this upcoming Fantastic Four reboot and how Chronicle director Josh Trank might be involved, but today at CinemaCon, Fox executive Tom Rothman confirmed that Trank is already at work on developing the reboot.

Thanks to Collider (via ScreenRant) for the confirmation video!

Since the director is in such high demand right now there’s no guarantee that he will return to direct.

Josh Trank, who did ‘Chronicle, I think this has been reported, is gonna come on and work on a take or a vision, that he has for [‘Fantastic Four’], so we’re excited about that… I think there’s a possibility of [him directing]. I mean he’s gonna develop it now, and then it depends on the script.

What do you think? Would you like to see the Fantastic Four reboot? Will it be a dark and gritty reboot of the property, or should we expect to see more of an Avengers-esque team-up film?
