Rapper-turned-actor Common has landed a role in DC’s upcoming Suicide Squad.
The all-star supervillain movie from DC Entertainment is adding another actor to its already sizeable cast.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Common, who earlier this year won an Oscar for the Selma title song “Glory,” had joined the cast of Suicide Squad. The name of his character has not yet been revealed.
Directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad stars Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jared Leto (the Joker), Cara Delevigne (the Enchantress), Will Smith (Deadshot) and Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang). Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Jim Parrack and Scott Eastwood also star.

Both Ben Affleck’s Batman and Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor are rumored to appear, but nothing has yet been confirmed.
Right now, you can see Common in the Liam Neeson-led action thriller Run All Night. In Selma, he played James Bevel, and has previously had a significant role in the AMC drama Hell on Wheels.
