Every 90’s kid grew up loving Chuckie on Rugrats, which is why we’re sad to hear that Christine Cavanaugh who voiced the character has died.
According to a report by TMZ Cavanaugh passed away on December 22, just before the holidays. At this point the cause of her death is unclear. Although the actress had no children of her own, it’s said that she was close with her goddaughter.
Cavanaugh started acting professionally in 1988, with her first big role in 1991 as the voice of Goslyn Duck from Dark Wing Duck to Life. Her most noted roles were of Chuckie on Rugrats, Marty Sherman on The Critic, Oblina on Ahhhhh Real Monsters, Babe, and Dexter on Dexter’s Laboratory. Her career was cut short when she decided to retire in 2001 to move closer to her family.
Her family describes her reason for entering the entertainment business stating, “Accolades, notoriety, and recognition were not the reason for her interest in entertainment, it was for the love of entertainment, to make people smile.”
