As suspected, Lionsgate ran a very small tease for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in front of Breaking Dawn – Part 2 in theaters over the weekend.

It has now been officially released online!

The Hunger Games logo, as seen on Suzanne Collins’ book cover, burns into life and then does a little turn – slowly morphing into the Catching Fire logo! The tagline was also revealed: “Every revolution begins with a spark.” The clock can also be seen in the background. Watch below:

In addition, a sweepstakes was launched whereby 12 lucky fans will have their name included in the credits of the movie. All you have to do is ‘like’ the official Facebook page and enter your information here to be entered to win. The 12 winners will be announced once the page hits 12 million fans. At the time of this writing, there are 10.3 million Facebook fans. You can use Twitter hashtag #TheSpark to share your excitement and to spread the word about the contest!

Unfortunately we’re probably a long way from a real teaser trailer. Our best guess would be to see one around March. Nonetheless, the official promotion of the film begins now! The film opens in theaters on November 22, 2013.

The cast and crew are currently filming in Atlanta. They will move to Hawaii to wrap filming within the next couple of weeks. The plan is to have shoots wrapped by the end of this year.
