The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2 director Bill Condon has revealed that he created a supercut of the films.
Speaking to Collider at the Toronto International Film Festival while promoting his upcoming film The Fifth Estate starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Condon confirmed he has a version of Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Part 2 combined into one movie.
Don’t expect to see it on this November’s Twilight complete box set Twilight Forever, however. Condon said that he hopes the supercut “one day might emerge” and confirmed in won’t appear in this November’s release.
We’d have to assume that the Breaking Dawn supercut would be very similar to the experience of watching Parts 1 and 2 back-to-back, without ending credits in Part 1 and the lengthy opening credits in Part 2. In addition, the connection between Part 1’s cliffhanger and Part 2’s opening moment would be smoothed out.
The release of Twilight Forever is set for November 5 and includes over two hours of never-before-seen footage. What’s more, the packaging consists of “a double-sided box that highlights beloved characters, one side featuring Edward and Bella and the other side featuring Jacob; and the discs are held in a commemorative photo album highlighting the most iconic moments from the entire saga.”
