Adam West will play himself in the momentous 200th episode of The Big Bang Theory, along with other guest stars.
West is best known for originating the role of Batman (alias Bruce Wayne) in the 1960s Batman series. The show, and West’s frequently wacky adventures, have become iconic in the decades since, especially as Batman stories have veered away from camp and toward the dark-toned Caped Crusader familiar to modern audiences.
In addition to West, the 200th episode of The Big Bang Theory will also include guest appearances from Wil Wheaton as himself, John Ross Bowie as Barry Kripke, and Christine Baranski as Leonard’s ice-cold mother. Sara Gilbert will also reprise her role as Leonard’s former girlfriend Leslie Winkle, for the first time since season 3.
Neither an episode title nor an air date have been released for The Big Bang Theory‘s 200th episode. However, episode 197, “The Meemaw Materialization,” will air on Feb. 4, so it is likely that episode 200 will debut at the end of February or beginning of March.
Now in its ninth season, The Big Bang Theory is as successful in the ratings as it has been throughout its run. The show has been known to attract high-profile guest stars, such as Bob Newhart, for its important episodes, so it seems like the big 200 should be no exception.
The Big Bang Theory airs on Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
