The cast of Avengers: Infinity War keeps growing, but considering it may soon also include the likes of Peter Dinklage, we doubt anyone will be complaining.
Dinklage is, of course, best known for his current role on Game of Thrones as Tyrion Lannister, the crass yet mostly honorable brother to Jaime and Cersei.
According to Variety, it sounds like Dinklage may be in talks to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
If you’re looking for more information than that, though, you’re out of luck. His role is currently being kept a secret, and Marvel has yet to officially confirm the casting announcement.
However, it does seem like Dinklage’s role will allow him to stay on board for the fourth Avengers film as well.
Game of Thrones season 7’s production was pushed back, which is likely allowed Dinklage to sign on for the Marvel films despite the fact he’ll probably continue to play a major role in the GoT series until its end — or so we hope.
Meanwhile, we know Infinity War is the title of what was once the first of a two-part Avengers film, though the two films are now being considered separate entities, despite the fact they’ll be filmed back to back. This may be another reason that allows Dinklage to sign on for such a major role.
