Fans have been shocked to learn that the second season of American Horror Story will not be centered on the beloved murder house. Now the question is, where the heck will the second season take place? Ryan Murphy recently revealed where we could find a clue, and now we’ve got a list of possible locations!
After learning that a clue to the location of season two could be found in ‘Birth’ we watched it scene by scene to hunt it down! We came up with not only one clue but six clues! Some seem more plausible than others but with Ryan Murphy you can’t rule anything out! Check out our possible clues below in order of appearance on the show.
1) At the start of the episode Constance is passed out on the couch while an episode of Newhart is playing in the background. Newhart is based in a small town in Vermont centered on an inn.
2) Florida seems to be one of the more obvious places where season 2 could be located. It is mentioned more than once in the show that Vivien wants to move there.
3) Fairvale, California the location of the novel Psycho. During an argument with Constance, Chad jokingly refers to Norman Bates Jr. Bates is the main character of the novel Psycho which is based out of small motel in Fairvale California. Bates suffered emotional abuse as a child and develops dissociative identity disorder which later leads him to become a serial killer.
4) A Prison or an Asylum is mentioned by Billie Dean as the place where you find the most traumatic negative force. However, these are general places and don’t give us any idea of an actual geographic location.
5) Massachusetts also seems to be an obvious choice. When Ben brings Vivien home from the psych ward there is a close up of their MA license plate.
6) North Carolina is the location of the ghost colony that Billie Dean mentions to Violet and Constance.
