The Glee star is set to sing her original song “Colorblind” off of her debut album on next week’s episode of the Fox dramedy.
Today, Amber Riley performed “Colorblind” for the first time on The Queen Latifah Show. The original song was written by Claude Kelly and Emeli Sande for Amber’s first album.
The release date of Amber’s album is still unknown, but if she continues to come out with more songs like this one, then we really can’t wait to hear more.

“Colorblind” will also be featured in season 5, episode 15 of Glee, titled “Bash.” You can listen to the official Glee recording over at Perez Hilton. There isn’t much difference between how Amber performed it live and the recording, which we are complete fans of because we don’t think it should be changed at all.
We never had any doubt in Amber’s voice, but now there is no doubt in the power of her words. We love hearing just her voice alone with the piano. It gives the audience a chance to focus only on Amber and what she is saying.
On next week’s episode of Glee we can tell from the promos that Kurt appears to be a victim of violence, presumably because he is gay. We can only imagine that this song will reflect how the group is feeling after the attack. Grab tissues, everyone, because this is going to be an intense episode.
What did you think of ‘Colorblind’?
“Colorblind” will be available on iTunes on April 8 and you can catch Glee season 5, episode 15, “Bash,” that same night at 8 p.m. eastern/pacific time on Fox.
