Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 8, “The Well” airs tonight on ABC. Here’s everything you need to know about this landmark episode!
The worlds of the large and small screen will align tonight when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 8 airs on ABC. The episode, titled “The Well,” will be the first installment of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to directly intersect with the cataclysmic events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
As the opening sequence of “The Well” shows us, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 8 will see Agent Coulson’s team joining the cleanup crew in the aftermath of Thor: The Dark World. Though the team is vigilant in their collection and documentation of the alien rubble, one relic does manage to escape their grasp.
The official summary for “The Well” says:
In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film THOR: THE DARK WORLD, Coulson and The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pick up the pieces — one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Chloe Bennet revealed that the compromised agent will be Grant Ward, for whom the rage-inducing relic will unearth painful memories of the past. Though we did get to see more of Agent Ward in last week’s episode, it will be great to see the normally stoic agent thrust into the emotional center of the episode.
The preview for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 8 makes it clear that those emotions are nothing to scoff at.
Though “The Well” will take place in the aftermath of Thor: The Dark World, Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada assured fans that the episode will not spoil the most recent superhero blockbuster.
If you haven't seen Thor: The Dark World, fret not True Believer, while @AgentsofSHIELD is a direct tie in tomorrow it won't spoil the movie
