Adele’s new album will be released in the middle of 2014, if a new report’s sources are accurate.
Sources tell The Mirror that Adele’s new album is already being recorded. “Adele is currently in a recording studio in London and it’s in lockdown mode for the next few weeks,” said their source.
They continued, “Four tracks are finished in terms of writing and she’s now laying down preliminary vocals with backing music and singers.”
“The rest of the record will be done in LA. The feel is very much Adele going back to her roots, with some modern jazz and a couple of classic old songs.”
Adele’s new album will be her third studio release. 19 premiered in 2008, and 21 was released in 2011. The latter album was the worldwide most popular album of 2011 and 2012. It is credited with helping to revive music sales in the United States and United Kingdom.
Adele recently made headlines when her song “Skyfall,” for the James Bond movie of the same name, picked up Best Song at the 2013 Golden Globes and Oscars earlier this year. The singer accepted the award and was humble at both ceremonies. Adele performed “Skyfall” live at the Oscars, and you can watch the performance in our previous story. It is believed to be the only time Adele will ever perform “Skyfall” live.
If today’s report is true, it looks like Adele is taking plenty of time to release her next album. Considering the wait in between albums one and two was three years in length, the equally long distance between albums two and three would be considered normal for the singer.
Thanks, The Mirror.
