As the 30 Rock season 7 farewell tour continues, many of the show’s cast and crew have progressed to the “acceptance” portion of their grieving process. Now star Alec Baldwin appears to have entered the acceptance stage as well, choosing to focus on the good times, rather than the end.
“I’ve adjusted to the idea of the thrill of what’s next and… I’m accepting of that,” Baldwin told Access Hollywood. “But this is the greatest job that I’ve ever had in my life.”
The Jack Donaghy actor said that everyone has been emotional behind the scenes and even acknowledged getting a little teary-eyed as well.
He does assure that the remaining episodes won’t lose any of the comedic momentum of the early season in sight of the end.
“We did a read through… yesterday for next week’s script and it is as insane — I am hard to make laugh because I’ve been at this for so long, but we did this script and we were all just gagging laughing. It was so funny.”
It sounds like he’s continued to catalog any set props that are ripe for the taking as well, citing Tracy Jordan’s fake movie posters as something he’d like to nab. That is certainly a better bounty than his previous target of Jack’s fake books, but in a trust world Tracy Morgan will get to hang those in his master bedroom…or whatever room that has his shark tank.
