Season 4 of Revenge has stars Tommy Flanagan and Elena Satine stepping up to the plate in the South Hamptons. Especially with the latter’s move to series regular.
In our Revenge mid-season 4 premiere recap we attended Daniel’s funeral and witnessed once again how everyone on this show lies their way through everything. Instead of releasing the information that Kate killed Daniel they decide to tell everyone that Emily killed Daniel in self defense. Poor Daniel can’t even catch a break on his death bed!
Nolan misinformed David about the death of Malcolm Black, but neither of them know about it yet. We find out later on that Malcolm Black is alive because he ends up killing Chief Alvarez. David did warn them all that Malcolm is a very bad and scary man. This show is in need of another villain apparently.
Speaking of Malcolm Black, since his debut to Revenge last week, we’ll hopefully get to see the Sons of Anarchy alum (Tommy Flanagan) in his full potential throughout the rest of the season. Flanagan will have a guest starring role for the foreseeable future.
What we know about Malcolm so far:
– He’s an enemy of Conrad’s, one of his many, we’re sure. But what makes Malcolm the most threatening is he has the money, people and connects to back him up.
– He recruited his daughter Kate Taylor/Black and has her doing his dirty work. We’re unsure if she’s a real FBI agent or if that was just a cover-up at the moment.
– David Clarke escaped prison with Malcolm’s aid, but not without a price. Money laundering for Malcolm was in the job description.
– Amanda Clarke was followed most of her life by Malcolm’s men and pictures were sent to David to keep him in check.
– David somehow escaped Malcolm’s grasp but he still owes Malcolm money.
– One of Malcolm’s men was killed by Charlotte — by accident.
– At this moment, Malcolm is unaware of the death of his daughter, Kate.
– Before Malcolm killed Chief Alvarez he got Jack Porter’s name from him as he worked with his daughter.
– We can safely assume that Malcolm black is out for blood.
We have yet to find out if he’ll be made a series regular unlike our other Hamptonite, Louise Ellis.
Louise Ellis (Elena Satine) graced our screens in the first episode of season 4. Supposedly her mother had her sent to the psych ward as Victoria Grayson’s roomie. From then on it’s seemed as if Louise has become completely obsessed with Victoria. It must be her motherly nature. HA!
Satine has been officially upped to a series regular and this has us thinking about what she has up her sleeve. At the moment she’s in cahoots with Nolan and just last episode she went behind his back to aid Victoria in retrieving an envelope with unknown contents.
This Sunday’s episode looks to be an interesting one with the arrival of Louise’s brother Lyman Ellis, played by Sebastian Pigott (Pacific Rim). Things seem to go awry at a dinner party and we all know how those dinner parties turn out in the South Hamptons.
What are your thoughts on Malcolm Black’s future and Louise’s move to series regular?
