We’re only days away from the season premiere of Glee season 6! Check out the some of the new actors and the characters they will be playing when we head back to McKinley for the final season!
Five new characters have been confirmed via TVLine (notably, not from Fox just yet) to be appearing as new Cheerios and members of New Directions!
Laura Dreyfuss will be playing the character of Madison, a new member of the Cheerios squad. Madison will have a twin brother named Mason – both of whom are “super-positive and extremely weird” according to TVLine. Dreyfuss has Broadway roots appearing in Hair in 2011 and most recently Once.
Billy Lewis, Jr. will be playing Madison’s twin brother and also a Cheerio. TVLine reports that he gives off a “gay vibe” but that “spoiler alert: he’s not.”
Noah Guthrie is playing a character named Roderick who is described as a chubby and shy kid with a voice like Otis Redding. TVLine is reporting that he will be the show’s new underdog.
Samantha Ware plays Jane, a “righteous, ambitious and unconventionally pretty gal.” Apparently Jane wanted to be a Warbler but because of tradition, jumped ship and headed to New Directions to fulfill her singing and performance needs.
Finally there’s Marshall Williams who will be playing Spencer, the latest resident “football stud.” He also happens to be gay and have a great voice. TVLine also notes that he’s “post-Glee gay – no one messes with him about his sexuality because he will kick their asses if they do.” Will Spencer fall for Mason this season? Sounds like a great setup already! Williams was a finalist on Canadian Idol in 2008.
Glee fans will be meeting these characters very soon when the sixth and final season premieres on Friday, January 9 on Fox.
