Tonight’s The 100 season 2, episode 8 will mark a turning point for the series. See a new sneak peek, and read what star Eliza Taylor can tease.
The mid-season finale of The 100 airs tonight, and the stakes have never been higher: Clarke and the other Ark survivors are facing an impossible choice, having to choose between handing Finn over to the Grounders, and incurring Lexa’s wrath.
Speaking to IGN, Eliza Taylor says that Lexa’s ultimatum will leave Clarke in shock.
“Her immediate thought is to get to [Finn] and protect him,” Taylor says.
Being a leader, Taylor admits that Clarke has considered the truce she is being offered. “But being the sort of caring person that she is, especially as someone who loves Finn, she still can’t quite come to terms with the idea.”
Finally, Taylor says that we shouldn’t think we know what’s going to happen. “This episode is not going to disappoint and there’s going to be not one but two or three big twists that people really won’t be expecting,” she teases.
IGN’s exclusive sneak peek shows Clarke returning to Camp Jaha, where Bellamy and Abby greet her as she explains the terms of the truce:
Speaking to Zap2It, showrunner Jason Rothenberg previews Finn’s Ark flashbacks, and says there’s more to his story than we think.
“There’s this great story that’s been talked about in the past that he was the spacewalker,” Rothenberg explains. “But that story didn’t play out the way people think it did, so we’ve always felt like we wanted to tell that story and it felt like this was the right time to do it… What he did up there was actually pretty awesome and heroic.”
Maybe it’s the right time because Finn is dying this week? It would be very Lost of them to do a final Finn-centric episode which will make everyone care about him, right before killing him off.
