Marvel has come out with a new poster and synopses for the first two episodes of Agent Carter – and we already want more.
Though it’s not exactly like Peggy Carter’s fabulous appearance is a secret, it’s always a delight to see the spy in a new light. And a “new light” is exactly what Marvel’s scintillating new poster for Agent Carter offers.
Secretive? Spectacular? Can kill you? That’s Peggy in a nutshell.
Marvel has also released the official synopses for the first two episodes of Agent Carter, which will air back-to-back on Jan. 6. The premiere episode, titled “Now is Not the End,” will kick the eight episode series off with a bang.
“Peggy is contacted by old acquaintance Howard Stark when he is framed for unleashing his deadliest weapons and can trust no one else. To help Peggy clear Stark’s name, he insists his butler, Edwin Jarvis, be at her beck and call – whether she likes it or not. But the risk is great: If caught, Agent Carter could be targeted as a traitor and spend the rest of her days in prison… or worse.”
Nothing like high stakes and a butler to get your heart pounding!
Episode 2, titled “Bridge and Tunnel,” will be helmed by Captain America: The Winter Soldier co-director Joseph Russo. The episode moves the Stark story forward and introduces potential antagonism from Peggy’s co-workers at the Scientific Strategic Reserve.
“Howard Stark’s deadliest weapon has fallen into enemy hands, and only Agent Carter can recover it,” Marvel says. “But can she do so before her undercover mission is discovered by SSR Chief Dooley and Agent Thompson?”
Hey, it’s Peggy. She can do anything.
Agent Carter premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
