The Glee actor will make his comeback to The Great White Way in 2015. Find out everything we know about his return!
It was announced today that Matthew Morrison will star in the upcoming Broadway production of Finding Neverland. Matthew will take on the role of J.M. Barrie, who is most famous for creating Peter Pan. If you are not familiar with the story, it is based off the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan which was later adapted into the film Finding Neverland starring Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet.
The story does not center around the ageless Peter Pan but instead focuses on J.M.’s personal life and his father-like relationship with four young boys and his love for their mother.

This role will be his first on Broadway since he appeared in South Pacific in 2008. Producer Harvey Weinstein released a statement saying, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to see Matthew returning to his Broadway roots and back to the role he created in our workshop. He is wildly talented and a true leading man.”
The show will be directed by Diane Paulus, who won a Tony Award in 2013 for the revival of Pippin while music and lyrics are by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy. We think it’s safe to say that Matthew is in good hands.
What do you think of Matthew Morrison’s newest role on Broadway? Will you be lining up for tickets come Spring?
The show will begin previews on March 15, 2015.
