In a logline released by ABC, we have learned that the fall finale episode of How to Get Away With Murder will take place entirely on the night of the bonfire.
Just in time for the end of November Sweeps, the ninth episode of How to Get Away With Murder will be completely set in the flash-forward universe. The episode is titled “Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me,” and the synopsis as of right now reads, “It’s the evening of the bonfire and we finally see what exactly happened on the night of Sam’s death.”
Since the show premiered, each episode has been jumping timelines between the night of Sam Keating’s murder, or the night of the flying cheerleader as many are calling it, and the events leading up to that night.
We’ve been wondering how long this arc was going to last and we have to say that we’re happy to see it coming to a close sooner rather than later. While we’re enjoying the timeline shifts, we can’t see it holding up for entire season without going stale.
The second half of the season will air in 2015 with the remaining six episodes. There’s no word yet on if there will be anymore time jumps after this mystery has been wrapped up but we can’t imagine it will continue.
What do you think of the central mystery coming to a close?
How to Get Away with Murder season 1, episode 9, “Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me,” airs Thursday November 20 at 10:00 p.m. eastern time on ABC.
