During Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode tonight, new Avengers: Age of Ultron footage has been released featuring The Avengers having a little fun before Ultron shows up.
Last Tuesday night during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it was revealed that The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s first trailer would premiere during tonight’s episode. The trailer leaked the following day, forcing Marvel to release the official trailer in HD.
We later found out that we’d be getting additional footage from the film during this week’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Now the new footage has been released and it gives us another great look at Age of Ultron:
We see the party scene that’s been talked about, with everyone trying to lift Thor’s hammer. Captain America seems to give it a good try but Thor laughs and says, “You’re all not worthy.” Then a very early version of Ultron walks in and tells them they’re all not worthy.
Then we go into what was mostly shown in the trailer, with a couple new scenes added. We’ll be sure to add the official video when it’s available, so be sure to check back soon.
Despite the fact that The Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer leaked early, the studio ended up being pretty ecstatic, considering it broke previous trailer records with 34.3 million viewers in the first 24 hours. We found out today during Marvel’s news event that the trailer already has over 70 million views.
Tonight’s footage from the film was shorter, of course, but exciting nonetheless. We look forward to more promotion for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and it’s great to see Marvel continuing its cross promotion between its films and their television show. We also got a look at Agent Carter tonight, Marvel’s next show.
During Marvel’s mystery event the studio announced that The Avengers: Infinity War will be a two-part film, with release dates in 2018 and 2019. They also released a very short teaser during the event, which showed Thanos and the infinity gauntlet.
Update: Another clip has been leaked, showing Rogers and Stark chopping wood. Watch it below before we imagine it’ll disappear from the web:
While fans had been speculating that Marvel may split the third Avengers film, it’s now been confirmed it will be released in two parts, along with nearly a dozen near films and superheroes being announced earlier today.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to hit theaters May 1, 2015. Marvel have announced that on Tuesday, November 4 at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC, we’ll see another teaser titled, “Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop!” We expect to see some more footage from Age of Ultron, as well as some additional behind-the-scenes footage.
