The Flash has cast Malese Jow in the pivotal, recurring role.
Jow, who is no stranger to the CW after appearing on The Vampire Diaries and Star-Crossed, will play Linda Park.
Linda is a “quick-witted reporter for the Central City Picture News” who “befriends Iris (Candice Patton) while at work and helps her navigate the fast-paced world of journalism.” She and Barry (Grant Gustin) hit it off at a local bar and “become quick friends.”
Will the two be love interests? That would be interesting, as in the DC Comics, Linda is the girlfriend of future Flash Wally West. The two eventually marry. Wally, though, has yet to appear on the freshman superhero drama.
Linda will make her Flash debut in episode 12.
Jow has also appeared in Big Time Rush, The Troop, and Unfabulous.
Jow joins a growing Flash cast that includes Victor Garber (Martin Stein), Andy Mientus (Pied Piper), Amanda Pays (Tina McGee), Dominic Purcell (Heatwave), Greg Finley (Girder), Clancy Brown (General Wade Eiling), Kelly Frye (Plastique), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), and Robbie Amell (Ronnie Raymond).
Alongside Gustin and Patton, The Flash stars Jesse L. Martin (Joe West), Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells), Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon), Rick Cosnett (Eddie Thawne), and John Wesley Shipp (Henry Allen).
