This Thursday’s episode of Scandal will bring Portia de Rossi’s character back into the fold, while Olivia Pope takes on a new case.
Last week’s episode of Scandal season 4 found things taking a very physical turn – and not in the sexual sense. By the end of the episode Fitz was treating Jake like a punching bag after he refused to confess to murdering Jerry.
The synopsis for Scandal season 4, episode 6 doesn’t hint at any progress for Fitz vs Jake, but it does offer several teases. “Olivia is summoned by a convicted assassin who claims he was wrongly accused, and Mellie becomes intrigued by a former first lady whose stories seem to be strikingly similar to her own,” it reads. “Meanwhile, Elizabeth inches closer to corrupting the White House and Fitz makes a shocking move.”
The episode is titled “An Innocent Man” – a phrase that describes Jake perfectly. But will Fitz come to learn this? If anyone is able to make him see the truth, it’ll be Olivia.
We’re eager to see what kind of “intrigue” Mellie feels about the former First Lady. At the end of last week’s Scandal we saw Mellie finally and literally shower off her depressed state of mind following Jerry’s death. This tease about a former First Lady doesn’t reassure us that Mellie has fully moved on, though she is dressing nicely again.
Photos from Scandal season 4, episode 6 primarily depict Olivia taking on the case of the week and Mellie meeting the aforementioned First Lady:
What do you think Mellie will be doing with the former First Lady?
Scandal season 4, episode 6 airs this Thursday, October 30 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on ABC. Don’t expect any Halloween trick or treats in the episode – but knowing Scandal, it could be just the show to give you a couple spooks on Halloween Eve.
