Once Upon a Time brought the latest episode to New York City Comic-Con and it was filled with great reveals including the return of a fan favorite.
Ed Kitsis, Adam Horowitz, and Jennifer Morrison brought the latest episode of Once Upon a Time, “Rocky Road,” to New York Comic-Con on Friday. We don’t want to spoil the episode but it is definitely the best so far this season. Fans will love it because it addresses a lot of relationship issues between all our favorite ships.
Hook and Rumple have a chat that will show Hook in a different light and Ed Kitsis said that the next episode will continue the Hook and Rumple storyline. Kitsis says that the next episode will be **spoiler** Emma and Hook’s first official date, and it won’t be at Granny’s.
There is also an incredibly interesting connection between the Snow Queen and one of the Storybrook regulars. The mystery surrounding that relationship will probably last quite a while.
Jennifer Morrison says she thinks that Emma and Regina have come a long way since the beginning of the show and that Emma connects to Regina because she understands her. She also says that you will see Emma fight to prove to Regina that she wants to be her friend.
Adam says that none of the Frozen characters needed any updating for the show; they just needed to be added to the mythology of Once Upon a Time. Plus Kitsis just really liked the idea of Leroy yelling “giant snowman.”
When it comes to Rumple and what he is up to this season, Horowitz says that we will come to find out the reasons for why Rumple is doing everything and that it is really just for himself. It doesn’t sound comforting for those of us who wanted something more from Rumple.
We will also learn more about Belle in the upcoming Belle-centered episode which also features her mother played by Francis O’Connor.
There aren’t enough adjectives in the world to describe how amazing the upcoming episode is and Elizabeth Mitchell is a fantastic addition to the cast.
Watch Once Upon a Time episode 4, “Rocky Road,” Sunday, October 12 on ABC.
