Ian McKellen is front and center as Gandalf in the latest The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies poster.
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies promotion has finally started to reveal some great material from the final Hobbit film, with Martin Freeman gracing a new poster for the film yesterday as Bilbo.
Today we have a new character poster from the film, and it features Sir Ian McKellen as the film’s beloved Gandalf the Grey. Check out the film’s new poster below:
Ian McKellen has always been one of the highlights of The Hobbit films, as his character has essentially stayed the same since his role in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
This new poster shows a very dark look at Gandalf, and may be hinting towards the dark battle that he, Bilbo, and the dwarves are headed towards in the final Hobbit film.
We’re very excited to see the aftermath of Smaug’s Laketown attack, and more importantly the Battle of the Five Armies, which refers to the fight between the Goblins and the Wargs against the Men of Dale, the Elves, the Dwarves, the Eagles and a Shape-shifter we saw in The Desolation of Smaug.
Expect to see additional character posters over the new few weeks as we approach The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies December 17 release date.
