The Legend of Korra season 4 premieres today on Nick.com! Here’s everything you need to know about the final book in our new Avatar’s story.
The many mysteries of The Legend of Korra season 4 will begin to unfold today, when Book 4: Balance begins streaming on Nick.com. The season premiere, titled “After All These Years,” will return fans to Korra’s world three full years after the traumatic events of Book 3 — and the passage of time brings many changes with it.
In Book 3 of The Legend of Korra, Korra fought to keep the nations safe from four brutal benders bent on throwing the world into anarchy. Her final battle with Zaheer left her physically and emotionally wrecked; confined to a wheelchair, Korra was forced yet again to wonder if the world still truly needed her as its Avatar.
The preview for The Legend of Korra season 4 illustrates that Korra will definitely continue to struggle in the final season, even though three years have passed since this confrontation.
And oh yeah, Toph’s gonna happen.
Though an earlier clip from “After All These Years” suggested that some of The Legend of Korra season 4 premiere takes place soon after the events of Book 3, the opening scene of the season definitely sets a more progressive tone.
And look! There’s an Earth Kingdom prince. We already hate him.
Another quick clip released from today’s episode offers an update on what Opal and Kai are up to — as well as new developments in airbender fashion.
Clearly, the airbenders have the whole “maintaining global peace” thing well in hand. Could it be that Korra really is no longer needed as the Avatar?
