This Saturday Sarah Silverman will be hosting SNL for the first time in her career. Check out the promotional video she made alongside current cast member Taran Killam.
Silverman, who was once a writer and occasional performer on SNL during the 1993-1994 season, will be appearing on SNL for the first time in over 20 years.
In the video, Silverman jokingly claims that she had a lot to do with the most iconic sketches on SNL over the years when she was a writer. Killam shoots her down pretty quickly. She also boasts that she is excited to set an example for women everywhere that they could also be a host of SNL, with the show having no other female host so far this season. Killam reminds her that she is hosting only the second episode of the season – though that doesn’t seem to change her opinion!
Last week, SNL kicked of its record 40th season with host Chris Pratt and musical guest Ariana Grande. Though reaction was mixed by fans, Pratt was a natural and had the studio audience laughing often.

Sarah Silverman hosts SNL this Saturday with musical guest Maroon 5 at 11:30/10:30c on NBC.
