The ratings for ABC’s new comedy series Selfie and Manhattan Love Story are in! As expected, the numbers were mediocre at best.
Last night, ABC launched two of its new half-hour sitcoms: Selfie and Manhattan Love Story.
Selfie stars Karen Gillan and John Cho, and centers on a social media-obsessed young woman who sets out to re-brand herself. Manhattan Love Story tells the, well, love story of unlikely couple Dana (Analeigh Tipton) and Peter (Jake McDorman).
The shows aired back to back in the 8-9 p.m. Tuesday night timeslot, and the ratings confirm what we all suspected: neither of these shows will be a massive hit.
Selfie drew in a 3.7 rating, with Manhattan Love Story dropping to a 3.2.

This is not amazing, but it’s not terrible either – especially compared to Fox’s New Girl and The Mindy Project, which scored 2.0 and 1.8 respectively.
If these shows can maintain steady ratings, their chances of sticking around are actually pretty good. But we’re sure ABC would have preferred to see more impressive figures, especially considering how had they’ve been pushing both shows (Selfie in particular).
Did you watch ABC’s new shows last night? And if so, which one did you prefer?
