New sneak peeks from The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 1 and 2 give us a hint at events in the two-episode season premiere.
The Big Bang Theory will return next Monday night with two new episodes. “The Locomotion Interruption” and “The Junior Professor Solution” will air back-to-back, and a new preview and clips from the episodes suggest that the season will start off with… well, a bang.
The preview for the two-episode premiere focuses on the fallout from Sheldon’s ride-about.
Penny’s hair may have changed, but it certainly doesn’t seem like Sheldon has.

Two sneak peeks have also been released from “The Locomotion Interruption” and “The Junior Professor Solution.” The clip from The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 1 features Sheldon, Amy, and Leonard discussing the trip – which apparently has ended on a disappointing note for Dr. Cooper.
Oddly enough, “Sheldon the White” really does sound almost like a mythological character. No offense, Professor Tolkien!
The synopsis for “The Locomotion Interruption” explains how Sheldon arrives back in Pasadena. “Leonard and Amy take an unexpected road trip to Arizona to pick up Sheldon,” CBS says. “Meanwhile, Penny interviews for a job at Bernadette’s company, and Howard is weirded out by Stuart’s relationship with Mrs. Wolowitz.”
The sneak peek from The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 2, “The Junior Professor Solution,” features another theoretical conversation, but this time with rather gruesome side-effects.
Great, we definitely wanted the image of a half-human, half-gorilla/hippo/koala creature seared into our brains. Unsurprisingly, the synopsis for “The Junior Professor Solution” does not mention any such hybrids.
“When Sheldon is forced to teach a class, Howard surprises everyone by taking it,” CBS writes. And as for the girls: “Meanwhile, the tension between Penny and Bernadette gives Amy a chance to play both sides.”
