Big Brother season 16, episode 29 just finished airing and the week 9 eviction has taken place! Read our recap to find out what happened.
Nicole asks Donny what they should do and he says they should just enjoy the next few days in the house. She’s heard that Donny is the target but knows that could change.
She then goes and finds Derrick who tells her she’s safe. Nicole admits that she feels awkward being in the house now. He says that he’s pretty sure everyone else wants Donny gone too.
Out in the yard, Nicole and Christine seem to rekindle their friendship. Nicole says that Christine was the first one she was looking for when she got back into the house and that she doesn’t hold any hard feelings. Frankie watches on and worries the girls could once again make an alliance.
Frankie tells Derrick that he really wants Nicole gone. He blames her for his time being up on the block. Frankie says if Donny stays then he’d target Cody and Christine. But Derrick is worried that Donny would target them.
Next Frankie approaches Caleb about the Nicole situation. When Frankie brings up his own worries about Nicole, Caleb admits that she may target him too.
In the diary room, Frankie finds that they will find out the success or failure of their mission during the live show. When Julie asks them what food they would like as have-nots they must reply “Apple Pie.” If Julie says yes then it was a successful mission.
Caleb tells Derrick he’s worried they could make a mistake by sending Donny home. Derrick agrees that Nicole is both a physical and mental threat in competitions.
When Caleb and Frankie bring it to Cody the talk keeps going around. Cody insists that Donny needs to go. They all turn to Derrick for advice but he says he’s torn.
Julie goes to talk to the house guests and asks Frankie the have-not question. She tells him it’s an overwhelming no which means that Team America failed miserably.
The house guests also get messages from their family members. Everyone is brought to tears. It’s especially cute to see Derrick’s daughter saying she misses him.
An interview with Christine’s husband reveals he’s not comfortable with how close she is to Cody. He says that it’s their hand holding that bothers him the most. And says that she’s crossed some boundaries. Christine’s mother also says she’s not happy with the way Christine is acting. Her father and brother are also concerned with the way it looks.
Cody’s family does say that he’s naturally flirty. His sister thinks Cody should back off from Christine. His dad just thinks it’s strategy.
When it’s time for the eviction ceremony it’s a unanimous vote to send Donny to jury. He’s now the fourth juror in the house.
Donny tells Julie that he has a big heart and his feelings have been hurt. He says that he feels let down by Team America. He reveals that he thinks he was a target because he’s so different from the rest of the house. When Julie tells him all the theories the house guests had about his job and he laughs.
Julie also has a surprise for Donny, the CBS daytime series The Bold and The Beautiful wants him to guest star on the show.
At the Head of Household competition the houseguest must fill up their cup and transfer it across the year to their snowman. The first houseguest to fill their snowman’s head will be the HoH. They also have the chance to fill a smaller snowman for a reward and punishment of $5k and 5,000 hollers.
Caleb and Frankie seem to be doing the best in the competition. No one is going for the smaller snowman with the reward and punishment. The episode ends before anyone wins HoH.
