The release date and play details have been revealed for the upcoming The Legend of Korra video game!
Though the spine-tingling finale of The Legend of Korra season 3 may just have hit (computer) screens last Friday, it’s hard to stop wanting more material from the epic Avatar-verse.
Luckily, IGN has released a few videos featuring long-awaited details on the new video game from Platinum Games and Activision. The game will aptly be titled The Legend of Korra. According to producer Robert Conkey, the game will be available for download from the PlayStation Network on Oct. 21, and from the XBox Games Marketplace on Oct. 22.
Conkey discusses several new elements of The Legend of Korra video game, including play modes, story information, and working with voice actors, in this video interview.
According to Conkey, The Legend of Korra video game will be single-player, and follow Avatar Korra through a new story set between Book 2: Spirits and Book 3: Change. The story, written by Korra writer Tim Hedrick, will include several subtle tie-ins to the formidable villains of Book 3.
Conkey also discusses working with Janet Varney (voice of Korra), David Faustino (Mako), and PJ Byrne (Bolin) who lend their voices to the game. Byrne’s legendary humor will feature in the final product; the actor apparently had the game designers “rolling in the aisles” with his line variations.

A central point of the interview focuses on the game’s “Pro-Bending Mode,” which is unlocked when players win the game for the first time. Conkey goes into further depth on the mini-game – which will closely follow the established rules of pro-bending – in the video below.
The Legend of Korra video game will be downloadable for $15.
