A new rumor states that Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence may have found a huge new project: Quentin Tarantino’s western The Hateful Eight.
According to Collider, Lawrence is in early talks to take one of the many roles in Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight. As of now this is just a rumor, as Collider is just hearing that talks are happening. Though Collider doesn’t often break stories like this, we’re confident that they are indeed hearing that these talks are happening, as they wouldn’t tarnish their reputation by making this up.
However, Jeff Sneider of The Wrap has reached out to Lawrence’s reps, who have denied the talks:
JENNIFER LAWRENCE's publicist on HATEFUL EIGHT reports: "Despite internet rumors, her reps have confirmed she's not doing this project."

This is by no means a confirmation that Lawrence definitely won’t be cast in The Hateful Eight, as reps often deny castings before they are done deals.
We won’t know if Lawrence will be cast in the film until the official cast is revealed. The cast is rumored to include Bruce Dern, Kurt Russell, Michael Madsen, James Remar, Walton Goggins, and Samuel L. Jackson, but none of them have been confirmed. They all participated in the live read of a version of the script earlier this year.
The Hateful Eight will be released some time in 2015, as was confirmed by the film’s teaser poster embedded at the bottom of this article. The film’s teaser trailer will run exclusively in front of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. It’s possible that Lawrence’s involvement could come down to how open her filming schedule is.
2015 will be another big year for Lawrence regardless of whether or not she works with Tarantino on The Hateful Eight. In addition to the finishing up a franchise with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, Lawrence will also take the titular role in David O. Russell’s Joy. Lawrence’s previous two films with Russell have brought her Oscar nominations, so they’re hoping to recapture that magic in a film unlike anything they’ve done yet. In Joy Lawrence will play the inventor of the Miracle Mop.
Official synopsis:
The Hateful Eight follows the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere.
