Season 6 of Glee just got a little bit bigger with the news that five new students will be coming to McKinley High. Find out all we know about the new characters and how they’ll be shaking up the school.
Early this morning TVLine reported that McKinley is about to get a whole new class of characters. A total of five students will be appearing in the final season of Glee and they are about as eclectic of a group as you can imagine coming from Ryan Murphy’s head.
Here are TVLine’s descriptions of the new kids:
Roderick: Chubby and shy with a voice like Otis Redding, his looks don’t match with his talent. Described as, “a true goober.” He’s the show’s new underdog.
Spencer: He’s the new resident “football stud” who just so happens to possess an incredible voice. He’s also gay. But, per the casting notice, “he’s post-Glee gay — no one messes with him about his sexuality because he will kick their asses if they do.”
Jane: Righteous, ambitious and unconventionally pretty, she’s funny because she doesn’t have much of a sense of humor. She wanted to be a Warbler but tradition kept her from joining so she jumps ship to the New Directions.
Mason and Madison: Male and female twin Cheerios. They’re super-positive and extremely weird. Mason gives off a gay vibe (spoiler alert: he’s not).

These new characters are coming off the news that the final season of Glee is going back to its roots and focusing primarily on McKinley High.
We’re excited to see some new faces on Glee and shake things up but at the same time it is the final season so we don’t want too much attention being drawn away from the original cast. Since there’s only 13 episodes in the final round we’re hoping it gives us enough time to love these new kids.
