The world of The Flash continues to grow as the series has added Kelly Frye as Plastique.
Frye will make her debut as Bette Sans Souci, alias Plastique, in the Arrow spinoff’s fifth episode, reports E! News.
In The Flash, Bette is a bomb disposal expert in Iraq who gains the ability to turn any object she touches into an explosive device following exposure to the energy released by the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator malfunction. While on the run from forces in the U.S. government trying to turn her into a human weapon, she finds an ally in the Flash.

In the world of DC Comics, Plastique was originally a villain of Firestorm (half of whom will be played by Robbie Amell in the The Flash), but after being pardoned she married Captain Atom. After their divorce, she returned to crime. She has also been a member of the Suicide Squad, which fans of Arrow will be familiar with.
Frye’s other credits include Rake, NCIS: Los Angeles, and The Mentalist.
Frye joins recent casting addition Wentworth Miller (Prison Break), who will join the series as Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold, one of the Flash’s best known rogues.
The series stars Grant Gustin (Barry Allen), Jesse L. Martin (Joe West), Candice Patton (Iris West), Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells), Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon), and Rick Cosnett (Eddie Thawne).
The original television Flash, John Wesley Shipp, will also recur as Barry’s father, Henry, who is serving a life sentence for the murder of Barry’s mother.
The Flash premieres Tuesday, October 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
