Another Frozen character will make his way to Once Upon a Time this fall! But he is not a native of Arendelle!
The Once Upon a Time creators may not be in the business of creating a love story for the Ice Queen, Elsa, but it looks like there is plenty of material left to sort through for Anna! Prince Hans is not through with his quest to gain control of the trading partners in the North just yet. A casting call has been placed to find Once Upon a Time‘s own Prince Hans.
Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis are adamant about keeping the Frozen characters as close to the movie as possible. Why the lack of changes? Well as explained in an interview, “simply because what happened in the film was so beautiful.”
That being said, the creators are not ruling out keeping the vengeance of Hans in the picture. Still out of the throne race as the youngest of thirteen in the Southern Isles, the prince’s failures to take over the kingdom of Arendelle sit fresh at the forefront of his mind. The role is slated to be a reoccurring one, although it was not stated whether he makes his way from Arendelle to Storybrooke.
Who would you like to see play Hans? Let us know!
In other casting news, it was recently revealed that Once Upon a Time will not bring Olaf to the screen. More details surrounding Elizabeth Mitchell’s role hint that she will either play the not-so-dead mother of Anna and Elsa, or the original Snow Queen. (The latter seems more likely.)
Thanks, E!
