Marvel has released a new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer featuring our first look at Lee Pace as Ronan The Accuser.
Last week Marvel revealed an incredible poster for Guardians of the Galaxy and also announced that a new trailer would be released today. The studio has released the film’s epic new trailer featuring loads of new footage that was teased this past weekend in two trailer teasers. Watch the new full-length trailer below:
The new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer gives us some great looks at Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana and more importantly shows us actor Lee Pace as the film’s main villain Ronan The Accuser.
An image was leaked last night which featured a low quality shot of Pace as the film’s villain so we’re glad to finally have a high quality look at Ronan The Accuser.
We recently got our first great looks at Karen Gillan as the film’s villain Nebula and she looks incredible. The makeup (and bald head) make her look incredibly menacing and she is definitely one of the draws to the film despite not appearing on this most recent poster.
Marvel shot for the fences with this film and while it’s still a wild card we think this will be a major hit with audiences with it’s unique characters and great comedic elements. A report was recently released that stated Marvel has already scheduled a Guardians of the Galaxy sequel for 2016.
Guardians of the Galaxy’s release date is set for August 1, 2014. Featuring an intergalactic group of Guardians, led by Star-Lord, they make a desperate stand to save the galaxy.
Two-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper voices the machine-gun-wielding Rocket Raccoon and is joined by Vin Diesel as the tree-like Groot, with Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan and Dave Bautista filling out the leading roles. James Gunn directed and wrote the script.
