Cam and Mitch take some desperate measures for their wedding tonight on Modern Family season 5, episode 22, “Message Received.”
On the last episode of ‘Modern Family’:
Mitch struggled with the feeling that no one in his family really knew him. This came after he was able to convince Jay he could play piano despite never having had lessons. He also got frustrated when no one seemed to notice he was missing from family events. But Jay was able to make him feel better. He explained that it was because everyone was used to Mitch being the calm one when they were all having problems.
Phil was supposed to wait for a repairman at the house but instead snuck out to buy a record. The stress of lying to Claire had him falling asleep at odd times. Alex suspected he may have narcolepsy, which she was studying for school, and told her father he had to tell the truth.
The family also came together for a new portrait at Gloria’s suggestion. She wanted a new one that included baby Joe. But when the family decided to wear black shirts and jeans, she was worried about how Joe would look to her family back home. So she put him outside for some color, which ended up leaving him with a burn. Manny saved the day by painting the Colombian flag on his face.
