A new red-band trailer for Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West has just been released.
The first A Million Ways to Die in the West red-band trailer showed us a lot of tantalizing footage, and the new trailer reveals even more.
The new red-band trailer was released by MTV.
Check it out:
Will A Million Ways to Die in the West be good? That’s a good question. Seth MacFarlane arrived to the movie scene with Ted, one of the funniest and most critically and financially successful comedies in the past few years, but will he be able strike gold again when he mines for it in the old west?
In marketing so far, there seems to be a heavy reliance on that ice joke, but that’s not necessarily bad. With the heavy marketing surrounding films like this, it’s virtually impossible to go into the movie without knowing some of the jokes, and if we’re saved from seeing some of the better ones by seeing that ice joke over and over, that’s a good thing. If the humor in the trailer is the best in the film, however, it likely won’t be the success that Ted was.
More so than what we’ve seen before, this new trailer features some classic MacFarlane humor like the never tiresome “dick joke.” How much of this kind of humor will be in the movie? It’s MacFarlane, so it’s likely to be filled with it.
A clever new poster has been released as well:
