Following a shocking death on Game of Thrones last night, the Internet went absolutely crazy. Let’s check out what a small number of fans had to say about last night’s final moment.
It’s no secret that the Internet hated Joffrey Baratheon; in fact, it’s argued that he may be the most hated TV character to ever appear on screen. So it should come to no one’s surprise when the entirety of the Internet rejoiced when the horrible king died last night. Normally society doesn’t approve of being happy when someone dies on a show (or in real life), but it seems that everyone is in agreement: Good riddance, Joffrey!
I have never been happier. #GameOfThrones @GameOfThrones

Just watched Game of Thrones and now I'm in a GREAT mood. Who wants shots?!?!?

And that was just a small, small percentage of the people tweeting about how good they felt about a character’s death!
It’s almost a little concerning how many people are happy about death, but we give major props to Jack Gleeson for portraying Joffrey so perfectly evil that we all felt this strongly about him.
It’s a shame he’s leaving acting, but we’re grateful for the performance he gave on Game of Thrones!
Did you rejoice when Joffrey died?
Let us know what you did when you finally witnessed his death! Did you plan ahead and take shots like Anna Kendrick, or did you just sit there with an open jaw?
