A new How to Train Your Dragon 2 trailer has been released, showing us a good look at what’s next for Toothless and Hiccup.

How to Train Your Dragon was virtually a perfect movie with an even more perfect ending, so some were wary that a sequel might not be the best idea.

But those such as this writer with precautions have slowly accepted how good of an idea How to Train Your Dragon 2 actually is. The promotion of the film so far has been nothing but great, and it’s looking like the film has a good chance at being one of the better animated features of the year. It’ll be tough to top The Lego Movie, but this film definitely has a shot.

In this new trailer, we get a good look at the new rider that we met in the last trailer. The identity of the character voiced by Cate Blanchett is a bit of a surprise and revealed in this trailer, so the studio doesn’t seem to want to keep it a secret. Speaking of surprises, it looks like her character is reuniting with someone she hasn’t seen in a while.

Here’s the just released trailer:

The trailer looks stunning, especially in the visuals. They’ve clearly stepped up their game from the original in the graphics department, and it’s really paid off. We’re really excited to see more of the all-new dragons.

Speaking of visuals, check out the brand new poster:
